The Dyson V15 Detect remains the best cordless stick vacuum if budget is no object — laser illumination and suction nothing else matches. The Tineco Pure ONE Station 5 is the best value overall because it includes a self-emptying dock station, and the Tineco A30S is the best under $200 with a genuine ZeroTangle brush.
The 2026 cordless field finally fixed its two oldest complaints: hair-wrapped brushrolls (nearly every pick here has an anti-tangle system) and the dreaded tiny-bin emptying ritual (four of our ten now offer self-empty stations). We test real-world runtime at mixed power, embedded-crumb pickup, and how each feels after a full-house session.

Self-emptying docks arrived in the stick category. Tineco's Station 5, Roborock's H60 Hub and Eureka's Stylus Elite all dock into stations that suck their bins clean — the single biggest quality-of-life jump the category has seen, and the reason our value pick wears the crown instead of a cheaper bare stick.
The second change: anti-tangle is now table stakes. Every pick here resists hair wrap to some degree; the differences that remain are suction honesty (our embedded-crumb test humbles eco-mode marketing), real runtime at mixed power, and filtration sealing.
The V15 Detect is genuinely better — the laser shows you the dust you were missing, and the suction gap is real on carpet. It is also $650 with a small bin. If that sentence stings, the Station 5 at $459 delivers 85% of the daily experience plus a dock that empties itself, and the A30S at $189 covers small homes beautifully.
Runtime honesty matters more than the box claim: we test mixed-power whole-home sessions. The A50S and Z30 are the two that comfortably finish 2,500 sq ft without a recharge; everything smaller forces a mid-clean top-up.
Judge by mixed-power runtime, not the eco claim on the box. Under 30 minutes actual is frustrating for whole homes; 40-60 minutes is comfortable.
For allergy sufferers and haters of the dust-cloud empty, absolutely — they're the best thing to happen to sticks in a decade. For tiny apartments, a wall dock is fine.
On raw suction and dust revelation, yes. On value, ergonomics and bin size, the field has closed in. Our rankings reflect the whole picture, not just motor specs.
For hard floors and rugs, yes. For deep wall-to-wall carpet, a corded upright still out-cleans every battery machine here.
